Palm Cabins at Tweed Coast Holiday Park

These quaint little cabins recently underwent a refurb with the help of the TSI Team.  Located at Boyds Bay the Palm Cabins are a great little holiday accomodation option.  This refurb was not the first we have done for Tweed Coast Holiday Parks and when we were approached yet again by their management team, the brief was to give these cabins a make over unlike the ones we had done in the past; in order to create a whole new look and feel for this particular accomodation.  It was no small feat, but with some careful additions, giving it a good paint job and bringing in light furniture and accessories, we're thrilled with how these adorable little cabins have turned out. They now have a modern, fresh and relaxed feel. Perfect for their seaside location. So to get the scoop on how it all came together we ask our director Bec what her process was in bringing about this great make over!  From Bec: "These cabins were small and all one completely open space (no separate bedrooms etc and with no bathroom) so our aim was to make them a little more functional.  We suggested adding an ensuite cabin in-between the two cabins we renovated to make them more functional and so that the guests did not have to walk a few minutes away to use the facilities. We also added an external deck so that guests could enjoy the outdoors all while making the cabins feel larger and more spacious. Before we renovated them they had a very dark/heavy feel due to a lot of dark timber features.  We decided to give them more of a log cabin feel and work with some of the existing timber features, however to lighten and brighten we painted out some of the timber ceiling and left timber feature beams.  We also did a full internal paint job, introduced a feature wall colour and put in brand new kitchens which functioned better, utilising the space more effectively.  We also added sliding room dividers for the master bedroom area for some privacy, got rid of the built in bedside tables (that where taking up way too much space in proportion to the room size) and added a feature timber shelf above the bed. Plus, all new artwork and all new furniture throughout, blinds and linen etc. Lastly, we also did a brand new paint colour scheme for the exterior of the cabins too."  Check these before and afters!                      What do you think!? Would you go and stay there?  Lots done, but all parties involved were very happy with the end result.
