Situated on an elevated block overlooking the Tweed River, happily resides our Maria Court Renovation. 

The wheels were set in motion after the clients engaged us to have an on site meeting and gather their thoughts, from there the designing process began which involved creating an interior palette for this renovation. Our designers take the time to have thorough conversations with our clients so that key details on colour, style and lifestyle can be extracted and used in the design process. 


Stage 1 - Floor Plan
After the first initial in home consultation, our designers both agreed that the current floor plan just wasn't working and didn't have the right flow throughout. So they worked on a new floor plan that suited the home's potential and their clients' daily routines. There were internal walls blocking key views and angled walls that were unnecessary, outdated and taking up valuable space. The new floor plan encompassed an open plan layout in the living, dining and kitchen area. The laundry was relocated so that extra bench space and storage could be added along with a mud room sitting area, making the space more functional. By relocating the laundry, there was now space to add a butlers pantry off the kitchen, which was a great and necessary addition. The WIR in the master bedroom also gained extra storage, by just moving the opening and adding a CSD as opposed to a bi-fold door.  

Stage 2 - Design Concept
Once the new floor plan was confirmed and set, a full internal design concept was created which was then presented to the clients in our design studio (located upstairs from our retail furniture store in Tweed Heads South).

A full Internal Design Concept includes sourcing and selecting for colours, cabinetry, bench tops, flooring, tiles and tap ware.

Stage 3 - Project Planning and Managing

Because of the clients busy lifestyle, they took advantage of our additional Project Management service whilst renovating which involved our designers to contact all associated tradespeople, meet with them onsite, gather quotes, plan and create a timeline (trade schedule) and lock in those trades needed for the renovation. While the renovation happens, our designers conducted weekly site visits to ensure everything was going to plan and keeping to schedule and updated the clients of the progress.
