Entryway Styling Tips
First things first, what exactly makes a great entryway?
We like to think that an entryway should not only make a beautiful first impression of your home, but also serve a practical purpose, too.
Here are some tips to keep in mind when styling your front entry.
Work with your space: There are so many different options when it comes to decor and accessories for entryway styling - from side tables and consoles to bench ottomans, artwork and accessories. The best layout for your own entryway will depend on the size and shape of the space you have available, so be sure to take this into consideration first!
For example, a smaller hallway with less available floor space would be better suited to a narrow console table, small bench, or even simply a feature artwork as opposed to anything bulkier.
On the other hand, if you have a larger space to fill, you can go bigger with your console options and even include an armchair, bench ottoman or statement lighting to complete the space.

Keep it practical: Entryways can actually be ideal for keeping the front of your home clean, tidy and organised. Consider including some storage at your entryway for things like shoes, hats and bags. Depending on the size of your entry, you can utilise the space underneath or to the side of your console table for floor baskets, or hang hooks or shelving to take advantage of wall space for smaller areas.

Use artwork or mirrors to frame the space: A feature artwork or mirror will help to “frame” your entryway and can also be used to add some beautiful colour and detail into this space. Remember, your entryway is the first thing you’ll see as you enter your home - a beautiful artwork can be a great way to set the tone for the rest of your styling!
Mirrors are also perfect on a more practical note for those last-minute checks on your way out the door, with the added benefit of reflecting natural light and making your entry appear more spacious, too.

Add thoughtful accessories: Decor and accessories will be key to tying your entryway styling together. A statement table lamp, clustered vases, coffee table books and fragrant candles are all great picks for your home entry.
Think about the kind of styling you’ve already created throughout your home and take inspiration from this - for example, a large piece of coral for a coastal home, a hint of gold for a modern luxe feel, or eclectic accessories for something more bohemian. But remember to keep it simple with just a few key items - you don’t want the space to feel cluttered!

Go green: Complete your entryway with some potted plants or greenery to make your home feel fresh, warm and inviting from the very first moment you walk through the door! Depending on the space you have available, consider adding some floor plants or dressing your console table with some statement greenery to breathe some life into your home interiors.
