Our Fave Local Homes | Gold Coast Interior Design Inspiration

by Bec Lawson |

This week we're taking a break from design tips and tricks and letting you in on a few of our favourite local homes!

BILINGA BEACH ABODE

If the Palm Springs and Coastal, Beach style interiors had a baby it would be the Bilinga Beach Abode! With its white cladded exterior and landscaped garden full of cacti and succulents, this is one of our favourite local Gold Coast homes!

Owners Sarah and Aaron Waters have been renovating their stunning home since 2008 and have transformed the original 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home into a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom property… and they’re not done yet!

This property has claimed so much attention that it is being regularly hired out for photoshoots from business and lifestyle bloggers! And we don’t blame them! What a beautiful backdrop! Just see for yourself…

We were lucky enough to have the pleasure of a visit from Sarah who purchased and transformed our rattan buffet into the vanity for her brand new ensuite!

MY BURLEIGH RENO

Bohemian Bliss in Burleigh Heads! This renovator screams bohemian and is a popular outdoor shoot location for businesses such as Style Beach Bikinis, Maxim Australia and Xenia Boutique.

CEDAR AND SUEDE

We of course had to include the home of the famous ‘block’ couple Michael & Carlene Duffy! They have transformed their Tallebudgera property into a beautiful, yet unique home for their family!

We have to give extra snaps to Carlene and Michael for not sticking with the typical ‘coastal’ or ‘boho’ interior style for their Gold Coast home. But staying true to their personal taste and ensuring their home is beautiful while being functional and practical for their young family. In her own words… “Life’s too short for beige…

A labour of love, this home is an example of how a home can draw from multiple design styles to be an original and accurate reflection of the people who live there. The architecture and landscape reflect the best of Modern Mid Century Palm Springs design whilst the interior draws from classical design features to create softness and character. Arguably the home’s biggest asset is it’s location, nestled amidst a spectacular display of ancient native Australian trees and vegetation. We merely had to let it shine.”
