If you’ve been following along with us on social media for a while, but haven’t yet visited our Tweed Heads showroom or booked one of our design services - you may be wondering exactly who we are! Here at Tailored Space Interiors, we’re lucky enough to have a pretty incredible team working hard behind the scenes - from our interior designers to our showroom assistants and delivery drivers.

Today, we wanted to introduce you to each of our amazing team of designers, with a behind-the-scenes look at their role at Tailored Space. Keep reading to meet each member of our wonderful team, and learn more about their day-to-day routines and favourite memories from the job.


Bec is the owner and director of Tailored Space Interiors, combining her background in senior management roles with her interior design qualifications to bring beautiful spaces to life. With a passion for all things interiors, Bec has worked on an array of successful residential and commercial projects along with creating strategic property styling solutions for clients across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Byron Bay.

Along with designing styling concepts, creating mood boards and carrying out build consultations, Bec also uses her project management background to ensure all of our projects are carried out seamlessly from beginning to end.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?

There is no such thing as a typical day really - every day is different depending on what clients and jobs we have going on at any time. But usually first up is general admin, banking, emails etc, and making sure the team has whatever they need from me to keep on top of things for the day.

Usually, I will have either a property styling install to do where we furnish and style a home that is coming up for sale, or meetings with clients in their home to advise on and discuss their interior design needs or compile mood boards for them. On other days I have Build Consultations booked with clients of our local builders to help them decide on the direction for their colours and finishes for their new homes.

And in between everything is the day to day running of the business, working with my team and finding time for future business planning.

What is your favourite part about the job?

I like the sense of achievement in seeing spaces transform and bringing joy to our clients.

What is your favourite memory/project from your time at Tailored Space?

Oh there are so many but the absolute stand out for me is getting to meet Chris Hemsworth when we delivered some product he purchased from us to his home in Byron Bay!!!



Ellen was originally hired as our Showroom Manager after leaving her job in retail. She had completed her qualification in Interior Design and her flare for creativity and styling quickly shone through as soon as she started with Tailored Space Interiors. Ellen quickly became a much relied on member of the design team and is now available for in home consultations and assists on renovation and build consultations with our senior designers.

Ellen is also the friendly face that will greet you when you visit our Tweed Heads furniture & homeware store.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?

It is really hard to describe what a ’typical’ day is here because no days are ever the same. But my days usually consist of looking after  the showroom - helping any customers that walk through our doors, making sure the showroom is presentable. I then spend most of my day on the computer, replying to emails, following up on client orders, creating mood boards for clients. And if I am not in front of my computer I am either unpacking orders for the showroom or visiting clients homes. 
What is your favourite part about the job?
EVERYTHING!!! The thing I love about this job is what I mentioned above, that no day is ever the same so I am always kept on my toes and being able to help clients style/design their house to feel like a home is a very good feeling! 
What is your favourite memory/project from your time at Tailored Space?
That is like admitting you have a favourite child! Haha. Showroom shuffles are always some of the best times here! The fact that we are able to change the look and feel of our showroom in 1 day is an amazing achievement, it gives our customers new inspiration to draw from. I do also LOVE putting together mood boards! 
Carielle joined our team as our Marketing Manager in 2019, but when the opportunity came up for a new property stylist, Carielle quickly rose to the occasion to fill this position. And she has done a incredible job with client consultations, booking installs and creating a amazing rapport with all of our amazing clients along with the agents we work with on a regular basis to style properties for sale.
What does a typical day at work look like for you? 
Definitely a tough one to answer… Everyday is a little different. But on average across the week, my days are filled with creating and sending off property styling quotes to clients and/or agents, planning and packing for installs, installing and styling up a property - as well as helping where I can with goings on in the showroom and our clients. 
What is your favourite part about the job? 
Oh goodness! Everything! But especially the feeling at the end of an Install when I get to see and hear the reactions of my clients and or their agents. The most common response I get when a client walks into their styled property is, “WOW! What a difference it makes! Now I don’t want to leave!” Hearing what a difference it’s made for the client, and the confidence it instills into the agents, knowing the property is ’shining’ and appealing to potential buyers, is just the best. Not to mention being able to meet and work with lots of difference people, and especially with my regular agents, getting to do what I love everyday is always so much fun! 
What is your favourite memory/project from your time at Tailored Space? 
So so many memories and fun I’ve been able to have with my team, I wouldn’t even know where to start! But I’d have to say, one of my all time favourite projects was for a property and client down in a suburb of Evans Head (Doonbah). Both the agent and client on this project were such a complete joy to deal with. It was a really great property that we did in an ‘Australiana’ style with a touch of tropical, and it came up beautifully. Plus the reaction of our client was so sweet and amazing! She so very excited and audibly gasped upon entering each room; then very excitedly showed her husband round each space when he arrived home moments after she had finished touring the place herself; thanking me profusely the whole time. It was a total delight to witness, and still one of my favourite projects, from start to finish, to have done.
